Dragon Medicine Jar

The latest addition to my collection of ‘shiny things’ arrived early this morning — a beautiful glass Dragon medicine jar handmade by Marcel Rensmaag. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw photos of it on Marcel’s Facebook page about a week ago, so I immediately inquired about its availability — and now it’s here after its long flight from the Netherlands to Australia! Yay! 😀

A Circle of Dragons & Sea, Land, Sky

Yesterday I realized my altar was getting a bit dusty so it was time to remove everything and have a thorough clean-up. This was quite a long, involved process due to the crazy amount of stuff I have on the altar (yes, I like shiny things!)  …but I eventually got all the cleaning finished. 😉 Continue reading

My Altar (2)

I first wrote about my altar and showed some photos of it back in 2010 (click here). It’s undergone a few subtle changes and become a lot more cluttered since then, but I rather like it that way. It’s also expanded way past a simple altar and my collection has now taken over an entire room, much more so than it had in 2010. 😉 So I decided to show a few more photos of my cluttered collection of Dragons and other Shiny Things. 🙂 (Click each image to enlarge)

Ouromundi

Ouromundi-2

My Earth Dragon Mask, World Dragon Day & Beltane

EarthDragonMask

As I mentioned in my blog post on World Dragon Day, I intended to honour the Dragons that day by starting work on my Earth Dragon mask. With this year being an “Earth year” for me and my Dark Moon Circle one of the banners I made for WDD also reflected that, with a Dragon’s eye peering out of a rock in a bushland setting (the photo was taken across the road from my house). I began the day by setting up my altar in honour of the Dragons and meditated to connect with them, and to hopefully receive some more inspiration for my mask. Continue reading

World Dragon Day

11th October 2014 ~ Well, according to one source at least — evenstarcreations.com — October 25th (my wedding anniversary) is also World Dragon Day! 😀

I was curious to find out more about this so I Googled …but couldn’t find anything. So next I checked out a fellow Dragon lover’s Facebook page —  Tysha’s Dragon Hoard. If anyone would have any info about this, she certainly would — and of course she did! Thanks Tysha! 😀 Continue reading
